Alienware M15x / Windows 7 Home Premium / System Corrupt RRS feed

  • Question

  • Random BSOD with no specific error code. Laptop restarts on its own randomly. Installations of drivers, and programs fail including antivirus. Fresh installs of the OS Windows 7 Home Premium do not correct the problem. Will not allow me to upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate using upgrade method from the disk nor from the Anytime Upgrade.

  • There does not seem to be a licensing issue here.  This forum is for Windows 7 activation and validation.  I suggest you ask in the appropriate Answers forum; for example, Hardware and Drivers at

    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-hardware?tab=all

What you describe sounds like your memory cards need to be better seated, or some similar hardware issue.  It does not sound like software.
