  • Hi,

    Have you upgraded before CRM 3.0 deployment to CRM 4.0? from the error it seems like that during upgrade a registered plugin step is causing an issue, for informaiton regarding Plugin Upgrades you may reffer: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg334459.aspx

  • Looks like a problem with a couple of plugin steps. You can identify which steps they are by running the following SQL query in the MSCRM database

    select

    * from FilteredSdkMessageProcessingStep

    where SdkMessageProcessingStepId in

    ('366989f5-0f10-de11-99c8-001a64c35cf8', '386989f5-0f10-de11-99c8-001a64c35cf8'

    )

    Assuming that these are plugin steps (the alternative is they could be workflow rules, or internal operations) the simplest solution would be to either unregister the plugins to complete the import, or modify the plugin registration to have a valid option for SupportedDeployment

  • Hi,

    To my surprise I tried to import the database again after it failed with above error, this time it got successfully imported to CRM 2011. I am not sure if it right way or not but I guess CRM 2011 has corrected these plugins during the import .

    To Javeed : Yes we have upgraded CRM 3.0 to CRM 4.0 before.

    To David : I used your query to check plugins of imported organization. I think CRM2011 has modified these with correct steps.

    Please post your comments.

    Regards

  • Hi John,

    I am glad that your CRM 4.0 deployment has been upgraded to CRM 2011, i would suggest you to perform the complete testing for the CRM 2011 and make sure that all plugin code are working fine and not generating any error. You should try perform the following steps:

    1. Use plugin registeration tool (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh237515.aspx) to identify the plugin steps registered on Entities

    2. Try create, update those enetities records which have plugin registered and make sure that plugins execution is working fine
