  • I have a Sony vaio desktop completed with windows vista OEM on it. A few months ago after installing some new software I started getting a notification that my vista was not genuine. I had the product key and tried several times and even called but no luck. Tonight I googled for more help and came across a post of yours that said to go to the cud prompt and enter a sting that ended with Security-licensing-SLC-ppdlic.xrm-ms I did this and now my system won't reboot and it says to insert windows installation disk and chose "repair your computer". I can't do this because it was OEM software and I don't have a disk. Please help as I am an IT trainer Nd all my documents Re on there. Please email me at lkeddy@gmail.com - thanks

To properly analyse and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool
(download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
     Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.
To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.
      - **in your own thread**, please
Please also state the Version and Edition of Windows quoted on your COA sticker (if you have one) on the case of your machine (or inside the battery compartment), but do NOT quote the Key on the sticker!
