set personal options - security

Question

Hello,
I believe I've restricted some users - they cannot set personal options like number of records in view. I don't see this in the security settings - can someone please point me in the right direction?
Thanks!

Hi,
you can find the security option on the tab Business Management, Rule "User Settings".

Thanks for the reply - however -
I am using CRM 4.0 and don't see this option. I have Security Roles and User Settings under Administration, but can't see where this particular setting is applied.
Am I looking in the wrong place?
Thanks!

Geeky,You need to open the Security Role to see the options Michael is talking about. Within CRM > Settings > Administration > Security Roles > Double Click the role you've got your users added to > Look at the "Business Management" tab for the role setting called "User Settings".Make sure that the "Create" is set to user, "Read" is set to User (at least.. could be Organization), and Write is set to UserSave and close that role.-PaulWednesday, January 27, 2010 10:14 PM
