  • I haven't seen that error before.
I also can't see your uploaded image that you linked in your post, it reports not found.

Can you submit a bug report with the logs form your machine attached? Are you sharing from the machine or via the Live Desktop?

  • Can you try inviting the member again? I believe that you may have tried this when the Google services were having connectivity issues.

If it still fails, and I'm wrong, submit the screen capture and your logs in a bug report on Connect, per the instructions in my previous reply.

  • Thanks for trying again. It was a wild guess on my part since there were some gmail issues last week. Apparently, my guess was wrong!

Have you submitted a bug report yet? if so, could you also paste a link back here to the report on Connect? Thanks!

    - What type of email address is the invitee address? (Don't post it here!)
    - Domain?
    - Any characters other than letters or numbers in the address?

  • I am inviting from my local computer.

    type of address: name.surname(at)tiscali.cz
    domain: .cz

No characters other than letters or numbers in the address.

    Thanks.

  • Thanks, Chew.
The two issues that I see as possible problems would be the name.surname front side of the address and the cz domain. Can you try setting up a Live account - http://account.live.com and using that to set up a Live Mesh account, sign into Mesh, and share a folder out with that new ID? I've seen issues with LiveID in other services that balk at the name.surname convention, although it shouldn't!

  • Hello,

I had the same problem and I think I found a solution.

I have also tried to invite another user to use a Live Mesh folder with me. I have Live Mesh installed on a Windows 7 RTM x86 machine and having the folder already synched with this PC and also with the Live Mesh Desktop. Now I opend the folder with Windows Explorer (on the Computer, not the Live Mesh Desktop) and selected "Members" and then "invite" on the sidebar. After trying to send the invite I got the same error like you guys (400 Request can not be fulfilled).

Now I have been able to find a solution to that problem by accesing the Live Mesh desktop through the IE8, selecting the folder I wanted to share and then I sent an invite like I would have done in Windows Explorer and it worked. I don't know why it worked but it did.

  • This is no solution at all, but a workaround.  This bug exists a long time.  Strange that there is no real solution for it.

  • I also have the same problem. The fix is  to do it from live desktop. Where is the fix on this one?!

We are a company using this service. Is this project dead?

You're right - it would be a workaround. I don't know the current status on the next release, but hopefully we'll see this one addressed in that build.

No, the project isn't dead. It does seem to be, though, with the really long delay since the last release. We should be seeing some activity within the next few months based on rumors about Windows Live "wave 4"
