Tanjay phones after R2 install

Question
-
Hi,
I have installed OCS r2 and moved two users to the new system. The weird thing is now when one user logs into the TanJay phone the login is successful. When I try with the other user I get a Fatal Application Error. I have tried this with 3 different Tanjay phones and can't find the cause. Has anyone seen this issue?

Is enterprise voice fully configured for the user experiencing the problem?
Compare their settings please

Yes both accounts are the exact same and setup for EV. I have also tried adding a location profile to the user account and still no luck.Tuesday, January 20, 2009 11:40 PM

Hi, :)
did you tried using Snooper from the OCS R2 Reskit at the your OCS STD / FE Server. Is your R2 Server RTM ??? Version: 3.5.6907.0 (Volume)
All of the Tanjay phones run the same firmware? Which one is it ? I am using the public available FW 1.0.522. 101 (1.23) with the R2 RTM Server.
Best regards,
Jan

Hi Jan,
why don't you use R2 firmware on Tanjay supporting new features?
Greetings from nearby :-)

As for the RTM I am in the process of upgrading from Beta to RTM. I should have this upgraded in a few hours.Tuesday, February 3, 2009 9:11 PM

Hi :)
I successfully upgraded the Tanjay's yesterday :) to R2 FW. I experienced two things:
- seems that you should have to the FW 1.0.522. 101 (1.23) also in the OCS R2 Device Updater + the new R2 3.5.6907.0 (1.23). So the Rollback Option will become available.
- you can "push" the update process when you log in on 2 or more Tanjays with the same account, but be only active on one of them for some minutes.
None of this is verified, just my experience. All of my test devices (3) were updated in less then 10 minutes. Now I am able to enjoy the new features :)
I wish you all good luck with your updates to R2!
Best regards,
Jan

I have installed the OCS R2 as a Consolidated FE server w/ a share for Updates. This folder has been populated and I have placed updates within this folder. Where do I tell the update server to approve the update? Am I missing a snap in for my Communications Server R2 mmc? I have looked everywhere to find the Device Updaters and/or Device Update Service console.Any help would be much appreciated!Wednesday, February 11, 2009 5:54 AM

Hi, please open the R2 MMC and check the Pool Level, via right click on it. In the context menu, you should see Device Updater. It should be be in the middle of "Filtering Tools" and Properties.
Best regards,
Jan
