Centralized reporting of patches/virus-definition updates RRS feed

  • Question

  • In the September 2007 issue of PCWorld, there is a small article on Windows Home Server.  In that article, it mentions that it includes centralized reporting on which of your PCs need patches or virus-definition updates.  I don't remember seeing this functionality on my test server.  Does it really exist?  If so, is there a way to turn-on this functionality?

    Thanks

  • This only works with Windows Vista. There needs to be operating system support for it, and that's not present in XP.

  • Are you clients running Vista?

  • Thanks!  All the PCs in my house are using XP.  That is why I am not seeing the added functionality.  Are there any other functions that work when the client has Vista (other than Remote Access).

    Thanks
