  • Install the One Care trial - http://onecare.live.com/standard/en-us/default.htm then open One Care and select "Subscribe". When asked to enter a Live ID use the Live ID and password used to purchase your One Care subscription. Your subscription status will be recognized and One Care will activate.

  • I don't remember my ID it's been 2 years since I had to change anything. I looked through my email to try and find the email they sent me when I bought the program but I can't find anything that says what my ID is. How do I go about finding out what that would be?

    Thanks

  • One Care support should be able to retrieve your Live ID and password. How to reach support - http://forums.microsoft.com/WindowsOneCare/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=2421771&SiteID=2

  • I installed the one care into my new computer. And went in to give my ID but it says they do not have any billing acounts under that ID. I know I still have an acount. I got an email that said they charged my credit card for this years subscription. How can I talk to someone about this. All I want is for this thing to work...

If you have an active subscription, which is what was created when you activated on the first computer, you need to use the same LiveID on the subsequent activations. If you are arriving at a screen to purchase or provide a token, you are likely not using the same LiveID as the subscription ID.

If you still have OneCare on the old PC, open OneCare and click HelpAbout to see the Subscription LiveID.

If you don't recall the LiveID you used for your subscription, you will need to contact support who can provide that information to you using your Key and/or contact information.

Alternatively, sign in at http://billing.microsoft.com with email addresses that you have set up as LiveIDs and one will show your subscription listed - that would the LiveID to use to activate with.

If the activation dialog already contains a LiveID from a prior attempt or one used in trial mode, but this is not the one you need to activate with to associate it with your subscription, see this post for how to reset this - http://forums.microsoft.com/WindowsOneCare/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=2776450&SiteID=2
