Asked by:
Notify us when an answer is unmarked

Question
-
I believe that we should be notified when a post of ours that has been marked as an answer has been unmarked.
I couldn't care less about the points (I still think we should just get rid of them entirely, but that's a topic for a separate thread), but it would be much easier to be notified about which thread needs attention again rather than having to find it manually. Sometimes the OP will post in the thread with a reply about why they unmarked the post, but not always.
Here's an example thread of why I think this would be useful:
I think that a line item in our activity list should be fine for this notification, but I'm open to suggestions if anyone else has a better idea.

I am agree with you. Its a nice suggestion. I think there must be a system to notify us.
Please remember to click “Mark as Answer” on the post that helps you, and to click “Unmark as Answer” if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread.

+ 1 I totaly agree especially when answer is unmarked after being marked. Not because of the point but we can help further to the person and actually provide him more accurate answer. Currently MS forum is busy in changing look and feel of forum pages and that has popped a bug where TechNet wiki profile activity is not being reflected. So i guess it would take some time to implement them this feature. But I would be happy if it is done quick.
Please mark this reply as answer if it solved your issue or vote as helpful if it helped so that other forum members can benefit from it

Agree with Mike as we don't know what is wrong in our comments/posts and in which thread.
It will help us improve our answers for future contributions. There should be a notification for that. For Instance, I had answered a question that was marked as a proposed answer by MS contingent staff and then the questioner didn't propose it as answer and unmarked as answer although his answer exactly meant as mine what I posted before his answer and I inquired about this to the questioner. He said he missed to notice my answer is a MS proposed one. Later he apologized and marked my comment as the answer. I will not post reference thread here as it may have negative effect on the questioner
Thanks, MAS
Please mark as helpful if you find my comment helpful or as an answer if it does answer your question. That will encourage me - and others - to take time out to help you.Wednesday, September 3, 2014 4:00 PM -

I don't think anyone except ourselves read this forum. I'll do read it now as I am a moderator in this forum.
