Getting Rid of Certificate warnings both inside and outside the office with Outlook client RRS feed

  • Question

  • Windows Small Business Server 2008 running Exchange 2007.
Have applied all the patches, everything is up-to-date.

Trying to get a UCC certificate working for all three:
    • OWA (working!)
    • Outlook client inside the office (getting certificate error when connecting)
    • Outlook Anywhere (have not yet tried)
OWA is working, the certificate is recognized fine, no errors.
Outlook client inside the office gets certificate warning that the NAME is incorrect.

UCC Certificate (done with GoDaddy) with CN=remote.company.com with Subject Alternative names
    • www.remote.company.com
    • SERVER
    • SERVER.company.com
    • autodiscover.company.com
    • webmail.company.com
    • remote.company.com
The FQDN of the server is SERVER.company.local

When I look in Outlook, Tools, Email Accounts, it says the server name is SERVER.company.local

How do I get Outlook inside the office from complaining that the certificate name does not match?
