CRM Online and Exchange Online RRS feed

  • We currently are using CRM Online with an on-premise version of Exchange 2010 and Outlook 2010 with the client add-in. We are considering switching to Exchange 365 online and I was wondering if we will get the same functionality. 

    The two most important features are set regarding and the updating of the calendars when appointments are set.

    I read one post that was a year old that said you have to have a third party application to sync emails and calendars.

  • Hi Gary,

    Update the calendars with appointments can be run with server side sync so you don't need the Outlook client there. How are you planning on working with emails, are you still going to be using Outlook or are you moving to the web client? If you are still using Outlook, there's really no change at all, otherwise you will be using the app for Exchange (or something similar) which I haven't had time to have a look at or even know if it's out yet but I hope you are able to set regarding in that too. The neat thing about it is that you will be able to use it in the OWR, you will need to have the server side sync set up for it to work though.
