Tablet Api for Dynamics CRM "This record is unavailable" error for Dashboard RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

When I try to open a dashboard page there is an error occurs that "This record is unavailable". Why is this happening?

    PS: Tablet is synchronous

PS 2: There is no special character in that dashboard.

    Many Thanks

  • Hello ,

Are you able to view the dashboard on web client or outlook client? If yes, have you enabled "Use CRM for Tablets" permission is checked on in your security role?

Does you Dashboard has any Web resources or iFrame cause they will not be displayed.

    Hope it helps!

  • Hello,

    This is what MS says

"Web resources and IFRAMES in forms are not displayed in CRM for tablets any of the methods provided to interact with them will not work and code that is configured for event handlers using these for the events called when these items load will not be executed."

However they are coming up with this feature in their future releases. Until then I am not sure of a workaround :(

  • Sorry, cant get my head around this. Have never been a coder. I wish I was. However just going through it caught this error "DynamicsAction has failed".

Are you using actions on any of the entities which are being used on the dashboard? If yes, try disabling and then try to view. I may not be right here so its just a wild shot :P

  • Hi Abhishek

I've checked that option and it has already checked for use.

There are some web resources in dashboards. Is there any permission or settings to do for tablets? (If you mean read permission for web resource, yes they have that permission)

    Thanks
