    I can seem to validate my windows 2000 pro. I know its a legit os, it was purchasrd when I bought my computer 8 years ago. The OS was never installed because of all the bad hype going around then. I installed the windows 2000 pro software yesterday. Prior to that the package hadnt been opened. Prior to today I knew nothing about validating my windows 2000 pro software.

    Windows 2000 does not require any WGA validation as it is an obsolete operating system and not included in the WGA program.

      Whe I tried to download media player 9 it asked me to validate my OS before I could download the update
