It appears your original factory preinstalled copy of Windows Vista Home Premium is no longer valid since you replaced the factory installed motherboard with a conventional Gigabyte motherboard. The Gigabyte motherboard does not have the factory BIOS and therefore your original Windows Vista license can no longer be used. I would recommend purchasing a copy of Windows 7 Home Premium and proceed with a "clean install".

Hello Craigboy123,
Although the Operating Systems listed in this MS KB article are not Windows Vista, the explanation in the "More Information" section applies to all Microsoft Consumer Desktop/Laptop Operating Systems.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/824125
The installed product key indicates that this is a Dixon's computer. Have you check with them to see if an OEM replacement is available for your defective mobo? If not from them, you may be able to scrounge up a new one or a functional pull from some of the online parts dealers. If you get an original mobo, it will have the original BIOS programming that your SLP installation needs to properly activate.

aye i did, i guess i will get on the phone to them and get it sorted , i expected the tech guy to maybe more helpful and maybe explain this to me before he replaced my faulty motherboard. I couldnt find the warranty so i guess blame is partly on me ill see what i can do.
thanks for the answers appreciate it
