OGA refuses to accept activation status

Question
-
I have a legal, valid authentic copy of Office XP Pro (2002), purchased from a major retail outlet. OGA now reports that my copy has not been activated. Yet, every effort to activate the product reports that it has already been activated. OGA notification won't shut up until I activate but the activation wizard won't activate because it is already activated. Classic catch -22.
I ran the MGA diagnostic and received the following:
Validation status 101 Not Activated
OGA version Registered, 2.0.48.1
Diagnostic 025D1FF3-230-1_3E121E02-385-80004005_3E121E02-452-80004005_3E121E02-312-80004005Saturday, October 3, 2009 1:07 AM

Hello RkeesB,
Have a look at this MS KB article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/903275
Please scroll down to the Method 2 section of the above article. You can try the new "FixIt" wizard or you can manually follow the instructions--they work about 99.9% of the time fixing the issue that I think you are experiencing.
Post back to let us know if it worked for you :-)

I tried the FIXIT wizard. After it ran I started an Office program and the activation wizard ran and allowed me to (re) activate the product. A subsequent run of MGA diagnostic indicates a validation status of "100 Genuine". Thanks, this has been driving me nuts for weeks. Now, if nothing else changes ??
