And what I posted is intended to help you correct that Office 2007 activation issue:

I'm pretty sure that the best way to upgrade is to uninstall Office 2007 first, and then use the cleanup tool,, then install 2010 (assuming the version you got was a Full version rather than an Upgrade version)

If you got an Upgrade version, then it shouldn't have a problem.

I note that according to your MGADiag, you're still only using Office 2007 - did you uninstall 2010??

(It may be that the WGA stuff for XP hasn't been updated to include O2kx yet - I don't know)

  • Hello Gazzer0007,

I think if we get Office H&S 2007's activation situation ironed out, then Office 2010 will download and install OK.

Have a look at Method 1 this MS KB article:  http://support.microsoft.com/kb/919895  Use it to fix Office 2007's activation, then restart and validate, then restart once more, then try to get Office 2010.

  • Hello Gazzer0007,

From what's in the report, your Office H&S 2007 is reporting as a genuine installation of a retail-licensed product.

Did you buy a just standalone product key from somewhere other than Microsoft, or did you buy a full packaged retail product with the whole enchilada---clear plastic rounded corner box, genuine looking Certificate of Authenticity on the top edge surface of the box, genuine looking hologrammed installation disc, several small booklets, and product key printed on the yellow-orange Proof of License label on the pivoting media tray inside the package?
