Cannot renew MSDN subscriptions

Question
-
Hello,
our group has three Visual Studio with MSDN subscriptions, and we'd like to renew them as they are about to expire.
So what is the problem?
Well, our company was taken over, hence the person who purchased these licenses no longer works for our firm. This is the problem. Apparently, all license transfers (we have had a new starter in the team after one left), renewals, etc, must be handled by the person who purchased the licenses for us.
I have emailed and called support on numerous occasions, but they - apparently - cannot help me. I have provided my MSDN subscription license number and nothing gets done. I find it rather comical that microsft cannot perform a database reverse lookup and find out all the details that they need in order to effect the one license transfer and start the renewal process.
I'd really appreciate it if anyone has any ideas as to how I can proceed, because thus far, I have been given the run-around by email/phone support.
Kindest regards,
atavachron.- Edited by atavachron Wednesday, December 5, 2012 10:43 PM

Might ask them over here or chat with the online msdn concierge.

Thank you Dave.
This issue was eventually resolved by escalating/asking to speak with an msdn support manager. They were able to perform a reverse lookup and contact the person(s) currently marked as active for purchasing msdn subscriptions for our firm.
Kindest Regards,
atavachron.

Thank you Karl, but I have already exhausted the options you mention. Like I stated in my original post, I find it rather comical that Microsoft cannot help with a basic request. They keep on telling me that I need to contact the person who bought the volume license, even though that person has left the firm after the merger. Incredible!
Any other bright ideas?
