New OEM Version Windows 7 Home Premium Says its not valid...Please help RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have Windows OEM version of Windows 7 Home Premium installed now it says its not valid. I upgraded from Corporate version of XP which was my work pc we were paying for the MSDN service until the company owner died and the company was downsized. I was the communications manager and I still communicate with the company on that pc but the motherboard has finally given up the ghost and I built a new system buying the hard drives with the oem version already installed for an extra $150. I contacted them and they say their OEM version is legit and I should be having no problems. I think I am in real trouble since I cant just format over everything I have because some of it is Navy related and cant be replaced. Please tell me what my options are to get this pc validated correctly...If would be nice if I could just buy the family pack and use one of the installs to correct the bad install code that the pc reports....Thanks very much I want to do all of this legally and am not trying to get something for nothing.....

  • Apparently, you have not entered your genuine Windows 7 25-character product key...please do so.  See: Update Your Product Key in Windows 7

Also, your MGA Report shows a retail and not an OEM version of Windows 7 Home Premium [ Windows License Type: Retail ]
