  • You can do it with Powershell Cmdlets.

    For examples, to enale

    cd c:\program files\windows server\bin
    wsspowershell.exe set-wssmediaserverenabled "-enable 1"

    To disable,

            cd c:\program files\windows server\bin
            wsspowershell.exe set-wssmediaserverenabled "-enable 0"

  • Thanks for that info!

I wonder if some of us could collaborate and create an add-in?  WHS2011 needs an easy button to turn off the media streaming, find the catalog file, delete it and turn media streaming back on.  That would fix a bunch of people's issues with DLNA catalogs not updating after adding media.

What do you think?  I'm kina new to that process but have the technical background to pick it up pretty quick.  I wouldn't mind doing the testing and coding, just would need to rely on some experts to get it going.
