    For an old code, I require Visual Basic 6.0 Professional.

    From where can i get it?

    I have windows 8. Will it run on it.

  • Do you know how old VB 6.0 is? First release was in 1998.

    There is no public download available, even because it's not freeware. You can download it only if you have a MSDN subscription.

  • You should rather download Visual Studio Community

    and convert your code to VB.NET

  • The only way to get it is if you have a full subscription to Visual Studio e.g. here is what I have (of course it does not help but does show it's on Microsoft's site for download).

    I did come across the threads where it was mentioned that VB6.0 is available as part of Visual studio and msdn subscriptions.

    I dont have them. 

    So I guess I need to find them outside Microsoft.
