Windows Home Server Console Installation failed RRS feed

  • Question

  • My home network comprises 2 Vista-PCs, 1 XP-PC, 1 Ripserver, 1 Netgear Mediaplayer, 1 Zyxel router. The WHS Console installation failed on one of the Vista PCs, the error message is: "Your User Account does not have authorization to install the security certificate". The WHS Tool Kit reports no specific problems, supplying only information about the resolution of Name Conflicts (none found) and Firewall problems (none found). This is very puzzling since no problems were encountered with the other two PCs and has cost me many hours of fruitless work. Note that on the PC in question I also have Administrator rights and use the same Password as on the others. Can anybody help?

  • Did you try copying the connector installation files to your local PC and running setup with elevated privileges?
I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)
