missing file \system32\ntoskrnl.exe

  Have an Acer Aspire One D250-1958  netbook that came with Windows XP loaded on the computer, no cd drive.  Computer won't boot up.  Getting this message "Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:  <Windsows root>\system32\ntoskrnl.exe"
