WHS 2007 RRS feed

  • Question

  • On a Pentium 4 PC I installed an evaluation copy of WHS 2007. It worked wonderfully well, however I let the evaluation period expire. Now it seems I cannot buy a CD set for it. All that is available is WHS 2011. I am not sure if that will run XP Professional and an iMac.

So the question is, does anybody want to part with a working set (and key) of WHS 2007 ?

  • It will work with XP Pro SP 3, and it will work with Mac OS X. With the Mac, OS 10.7 (Lion) changed the Time Machine protocols, so it's no longer possible to use Time machine to back up your Mac to your server. In addition, Apple introduced their own launchpad application in Lion, which results in needing to rename one or the other with (obvious) maintenance headaches.
I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)

  • Thank you that cleared up some. Now the big one, do I need a 32-bit version? Is that available, I recall reading something about it.
