Readyboost and WHS RRS feed

  • Question

  • I know that WHS does not currently support Readyboost but if it did would this increase performance at all?  Is this something we are likely to see in future versions of WHS?  How big of a cache would you want for a WHS?

  • It is unlikely that Windows Home Server will ever support ReadyBoost, as it is built on Windows Server 2003 and ReadyBoost is a consumer technology. It's possible that a future version of Windows Home Server will be built on a newer version of the Windows Server operating system, but it would still not support ReadyBoost for the already-stated reason.
