What happends with the "Tracked in CRM" items in Outlook when upgrade from CRM 3.0 to CRM 4.0 RRS feed

  • Hi,

    The Situation:
    A CRM client (laptop or desktop) has tracked an item (i.e. Contact) in Outlook in 3.0; then we upgrade to 4.0.  Do the uninstall of 3.0 and install of 4.0 on the client. Will the link between the Outlook contact and the "new" crm contact in 4.0 still work?

    Assumed result:
    My thought is that it will. Assuming that the CRM GUID is stored with the Outlook item .... and that when doing View in CRM outlook will just append the GUID to the edit url. And the GUID in CRM will not change, so it should work as it used to. Right?

    Since I have not checked this before I wonder if someone has; and can confirm that my assumptions are correct?
