Load Balance Server Loads RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

Firstly, I'm not sure that I'm posting to the right Forum Category because I can't find IIS or .Net Developer forum in the list.

I've been researching to Load Balance my current WCF application that are hosted in IIS. I've found several things in terms of Load Balancing such as Web Farm, ARR, NLB, and hardware load balancing.

But in my understanding that all the above solutions are meant to Load Balance only the network side of the servers.

I've read in here that NLB won't detect Server Loads:

"In this version, the load balance does not change in response to varying server loads (such as CPU or memory usage). "

Is there any Load Balance that detect Server Loads such as CPU or RAM usage as parameter for load balancing?

Is there such "scale out" IIS configuration or other alternatives? Because my WCF is processing a lot of data and services is the only way to go.

    Thank You.
