Here is the list of threads about this matter, that they have posted.
They wanted date for RTM to Vista SP1, which I have already supplied in one of the Threads.
Cheers.

Hi David,
I don't understand the question.
Are you asking when Vista Home Basic was released, when the Service Pack 1 was release or when Microsoft started shipping Vista media that included Service Pack 1?
If your question has to do with any of the above, then please post your question in the Vista Answer's Forum a http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/category/windowsvista
If you are experiencing a Vista Non-Genuine issue, then please download and run the Genuine Diagnostics tool (MGADiag.exe) at this link http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012. Click "Continue", click the "Copy" button then “Paste” the report into a reply message in this thread.Running a Diagnostic Report with no access to the Start Button:
1) Login to Vista and click the option that brings up Internet Explorer.
2) Type: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 into the browser address bar.
3) A window will come up asking if you want to “Run” or “Save”, Select “Run”
4) When the program runs, click the “Continue” button, then click the “Copy” button.
5) Return to this thread http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/genuinevista/thread/aee84c5a-3af0-4974-9bd5-3536a9ffd9f7.
6) In a reply post, paste the Diagnostic Report.
Thank you,

I believe a user tried to cover up deleting files by setting his computer date back to October 10, 2007. The registry shows that Vista Build 6001 SP1 was install on October 10, 2007. All research I have conducted shows that only the beta version of Build 6001 SP1 was available at that time. One blog stated that the public release would not be until spring of 2008. In order to submit an accurate report I wouls like to have a definitive answer as to when Vista Basic Home, Build 6001 SP1 was released to the general public.Tuesday, October 27, 2009 5:26 AM
