How to run clusrun on specific nodes?

    Question

  • I would like to know how to run clusrun on specific nodes. When I try this command, clusrun /nodes:hpc004,hpc005 ipconfig/all

I am getting this error - 'hpc005' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

    Thanks in advance

  • hi, which version of hpc are you running? an alternative is to create a nodegroup with the nodes you desire and do clusrun /nodegroup

  • I am running SP3. But clusrun help says, it is possible to specify list of nodes using /nodes switch

  • this should just work, is hpc005 a valid name for your node? Can you try SP4?

  • yes, it is a valid node.

I am able to run one node at a time without any error.

    clusrun /nodes:hpc004 ipconfig/all

    clusrun /nodes:hpc005 ipconfig/all

It is just that comma separated list is not working for /nodes switch. I don't have SP4 in my environment. I have to get this resolved in SP3 environment. please advise.

  • Hi,

We just did a quick verification on sp3 for you, there's probably a space after the comma in "hpc004,hpc005,", please make sure you do not have the space.
