downloading video screensaver program RRS feed

  • when i try to download the video screensaver program and get to the run stage i get asked to validate, when i do the installation wizard that downloads with the program stops and asks me to close and start again and the same thing happens. i have downloaded to a disc and tried to run it from there but the same thing happens as when i run it direct from the web site. my software always validates but it seems that there is a catch with this program. you cant complete the wizard without validating but the act of validating stops the wizard. is there a solution to this or is the program flawed? many thanks.

    To help me understand the issue further can you please follow the steps below?

    1. Download and run the WGA Diagnostic Tool  http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012

    2. After running the WGA Diagnostic Tool, click on the "Windows" tab and then click on "Copy to Clipboard". Paste the results into your forum response.

  • Similar problem - been there, have done alot - apparently not enough - getting windows & office validations done, but video screen saver does not go pass validation!

  • Looks like this has never been fixed.  The validation succeeds in either IE or Firefox, but the installer still aborts.
