OCSetup.exe - Bad Image RRS feed

  • Question

    I am trying to install One Care onto my laptop after recieving it yesterday and I keep getting the same error message - OCSetup.exe- Bad Image, which reads;

    'E:\WinSSPlatform.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error ...... etc.'

    Presumably the platform is designed to run on Windows unless I am a complete idiot, so what's the problem?!?!

  • It could be that you purchased an old One Care CD which is not compatible with the version of Windows you are currently running. Go to - http://onecare.live.com/standard/en-us/default.htm and install the One Care trial. After installation open One Care, select "Subscribe" follow the prompts to the payment page and when asked for a method of payment select "Pre-Paid PIN or Token". Enter the 25 digit product key enclosed with your CD and your subscription will activate.
