OCS 2007, Cisco Cups 6.x & caller ID RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

We have a OCS 2007/Cisco RCC environment which is all working fine with the exception of caller ID.

I undertsand there are issues in the number format between cisco and OCS (with the whole "+" thing) - however, surely by now someone has got this working!

Our issue is that when a call comes in - even though the number matches an existing contact in OCS (be it our IP phone number in the "other field", a work number or a mobile number) just the number is displayed instead of a name.

I believe that this can be done via client side normalisation, however i am buggered if i can get it to work!

Can anyone give me some assistance here ?

  • Scratch this question guys.... got it working (ofcourse after 1 day of not getting it working, as soon as i post - it starts working!)

added the phone-context;dialstring to all of normalisation rules instead of just select ones at the end.... it was hitting the non-dialstring string rule first and therefore not normalising correctly.

and yes to you yanks.... normalising is spelt with a "s"

apologies for useless post - hope it helps someone else with the same issue.
