  • Question

  • I want to be able to manage my own updates instead of installing automatically.  When I have this setting turned on, I get a balloon message every time I start the computer that says my computer is at risk.  Even if all the updates have been downloaded it still says I am at risk.  I like to manage my own updates because I can do it when I have the time.  I am traveling continuously and sometimes I do not have time for downloads to complete.  How can I make the computer Not at risk but still manage my updates myself?

  • Unfortunately there is no way to turn off Automatic Updates without One Care showing an "At Risk" status. In general this shouldn't cause much of a problem since most updates are pushed out on the second Tuesday of each month.
