One way connection through live mesh

Question
-
Hi - I have an issue where I can only connect to another machine in my Mesh via Remote Desktop one way.
My Mesh consists of:
Home: Vista SP1 - connected to net via Wireless Router then Modem. Windows Firewall is not blocking and Remote Desktop enhancements are enabled
Work: WinXP SP3 - various connections, including the home network. Windows Firewall is not blocking.
My Home PC can happily Remote Desktop on to the Work PC
My Work PC never gets past "Connecting..." when trying to access the Home PC.
Both PC's have no problem accessing the Live Desktop.
Anybody got any clues on what i'm missing here?
Thanks!Sunday, June 28, 2009 1:13 AM

I don't know the cause of this RD issue so I suggest submitting a bug report with logs from the work computer. How to submit a bug report - http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en/LiveMesh/thread/d52b350a-f3e0-41c6-8e78-d6378e566b9e

Is the work PC domain joined? Is it possible that the corporate IT admins have blocked the remote desktp ports outbound?

It is on a domain but the firewall is off. I'm not even using work networks to connect - just a mobile broadband device or my home network.

Is the domain adminsitered via Group Policy?
The logs might reveal the reason, so thanks for submitting them.

Don't know the answer to the Group Policy question, it's a possibility though.

My thought on Group Policy is that the administrator of the domain may be preventing RD that way for security reasons.
I am not well versed on Group Policy, but there are many things that can be controlled that way.
