MCSE : Data Platform RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

May I know whether I need to recertify the above as I had achieved it in May 2015 ? I just got to know that MCSE:Data Platform was retired in Mar 2017.

    TIA !

  • You can view the status of all of your certifications at mcp.microsoft.com They'll show any expiration dates or the need to recertify by dates.  But since the exam in question required recertification though, the answer is it should remain active since you had it before it was retired. Keep in mind though that the certification is only relevant for as long as the technology is. I believe, it'll eventually get moved to a legacy section on your certifications page, you still have it but it's not necessarily as relevant as it once was.

  • I totally agree that certification is only relevant for as long as the technology is, so moving forward, I'll still need to take the upgrade exam for the next wave.
