restore backups

Question

hi, wonder if anyone can help.
My server recently died due to a psu failure and subsequently the m/b with it, so i've moved it over to a new system.
I tried to do a server reinstall but it kept failing when trying to recreate the shares, so i've installed a fresh version on a separate HDD.
Prob is how to get my computer backups onto this WHS? I have both the HDD's from the old server as they were and haven't deleted the files yet etc.
Anyone got any suggestions??
Thanks

If you have the old hard drives, you can follow the procedures outlined in the Home Computer Backup and Restore technical brief for backing up and restoring the backup database.

In this case you don't try to copy the files, but the tombstones, which will not work, since the references to the disks are not fitting. The real files are stored on one or more of the disks in the hidden folder DE in the path DE\folders\{00008086-058D-4C89-AB57-A7F909A47AB4}.
