AD Contact = Federated Contact problem RRS feed

  • Hi,

    i'm having the following problem:

     

    Our OCS is federated with another company.

    We have in our AD, contacts to represent people in the other company which is federated.

    When I try to add the federated contact anyone@federated.company, MOC is getting the contact information from AD instead of going to the federated server.

    Therefore i'm unable to add the federated contact, I always get an error.

    Is there a way around this issue?

  • Since Contacts can be SIP-enabled in AD for things like resource forest deployments, off the top of my head I'd bet you'd need to remove the contacts from AD. Not ideal, but that might be an untested and unplanned for scenario.  If I get a chance I'll try to see if there is a way to sip-enable contacts using a foriegn SIP domain so that the contacts might be able to sure dual-purposes, but I'm tinking it would be a complete 'hack'.
