Windows Update Wont install KB905474 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have WinXP SP3.  In the last week or so I noticed windows update KB905474 will not install, and was blocking the installation of all other updates.  I deselected it in the custom windows update, and have been able to install the other updates successfully.

Why is this happening and what is the fix?
My computer is a compaq nx9110, it has a windows XP Professional OEM version installed with a Microsoft XP sticker on the base of the laptop

  • I seem to have fixed the problem;  Tried this from HEROSC  29/04/2009

"Go to C, go to Windows folder, go to system32 folder, go to KB905474 folder, and click on Wgasetup. That will install the kb905474 update."
