dissappearing emails

   Helo there,

  I have random messages that seem to disappear from my inbox.  For instance, i made an online purchase, within 15 mins i receive the confirmation of the purchase in my inbox.  How ever a few days later, when go to my inbox to retrieve the confirmation, i can't find the e mail.  I know that i have not movedit into a different folder, or deleted it.  How can i retrieve these emails.
