    Ya, Genuine softwares always get advantage as compred to freeware, u must go for Genuine software like Vista OS, Office 2007 which are the core part of ur PC.

    Well lets take it this way....

    u are a programmer and u developed a software putting all your efforts and resources and u publish it...

    Now one fine morning u find that your software is a hit and u got may prizes for it BUT not the proper results i.e. u r not getting the complete money which u deserve because someone has just cracked your software and is distrubuting it....

    What will be your reaction if u are that software developer????? Just keep yourself in that position and think of it....

    Me too is using Genuine windows..

    The major benefits of using Genuine windows is , it will update Automatically

    while in the pirated one this is not possible...

    In genuine IE7 , Windows Media Player 11 can be installed while in the pirated,

    none can be installed....

    genuine is better than the cracked version, even i am using genuine windowxp pro....genuine versions are more safe, microsoft offers time to time free services for its genuine OS and also free downloads, of certain minute softwares....there are many other advantages as well, for that visit www.microsoft.com/genuine

    Hi,

    Let me present my point of view !!

    Earlier when i used the cracked version of Windows XP (something around 3 years back), it was a regular issue for me to format once or twice a month.. its just because of viruses, spyware ,.... i switched to Genuine version and since then (2 1/2 years) i was running my system with out a stop !! there is no issue ever that made me to worry !! I was really satisfied with my system and i love Genuine... the support from microsoft is incredible !!

    i agree with you...the support that microsoft has, and especially the way they have organised and drafted their support section , is marvellous, you dont need to call microsoft, their online support is so very well managed by the knowledge base, that it hels the user to a great extent, and they also have phone support, email support and live support, but that is hardly used....atleast not for the general issues or bugs...

    I will give only one reason that think yourself at their place doing all the hard work and not going returns for that geniune software is you are paying for the good work done by them

     

    using pirated software is "stealing"

     

    if you cannot afford for much needed necessities then go for freeware or good open source softwares they are equally good

    like for office you have open office by sun microsystems,etc and i bet it is equally good as proprietary softwares

     

    even dell is shipping ubuntu now in place of Microsoft Windows so never feel freeware are bad
