Duplicate Detection Rule not working RRS feed

  • Hi ,

              I created duplicate detection for custom entity for last name checking with exact match,rule is published and crm is not giving popup by detecting the duplicate,i tried the already avialable crm duplication rules of crm on lead,account and contact whose rules are not working,i checked the Asynchrous service of ms crm it is running ,

    Can anyone suggest what might be going wrong in detecting duplicates,its urgent .......

  • Hi,

    Duplicate detection is designed to detect Potential duplicate records created updated after 5 minutes. This is because each record is attached to a matchcode and this matchcode is created/updated upon execution of a matchcode service. this service is by default set to activate after 5 minutes. So try to add records after 5 minutes and it will work.

    Also there are few tips to troubleshoot dup detections issue.

    1) Check you have correctly set the Duplicate detection rule.
    2) Rule is published
    3) Rule is assigned or shared to users
    4) CRM Async service is running
