    Running 8.1 ..... My Canon MX870 was working fine, then abruptly stopped scanning. It prints, and copies but when I try to scan I get an error message "Internal Error Occurred, Scanner Driver Will Be Closed" Error 5,202,54. I uninstalled the printer, re-downloaded the software and drivers, but I still get the same error. Any thoughts?

    I've got exactly the same problem, I've reloaded the canon printer disk and uploaded the most up to date MP Navigator EX software (3-15). None of this solved the problem. ???

    Can someone help me as well.
