I am testing Sync Toy 2.0 in Windows XP to syncronize files between a protected drive (primary) and a drive with public access (secondary). The goal is to prevent unauthorized changes to sensative data while providing easy access to all who need to use that data. The properties of the public access drive are set to "read only". Whenever a new file is added or a revision is made the new copy in the synced drive shows up without "write protect" being set.
How can the write protect be maintained when changes or additions are made?
