Remote Access - port forwarding error?? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Trying to set up remote access.  I have DynDNS, which purchased TZO.com all set up and working inclusive of Client Updater with static IP address for the WHS.  Xfinity ARRIS Gateway router also enabled for port forwarding with the 14 ports described at https://portforward.com/software.htm.

Problem is in the Remote Access set up where a required step is selection of a TZO.com domain - which no longer exists!  There is no place to input the DynDNS Pro web-host and thus I repeatedly get a "failed to connect to the web-site locally" error and the remote access set up wizard starts the loop all over again.

Currently installed software versions with AutoUpdates enabled are . . .

    Windows Home Server Console: 6.0.2423.0
Windows Home Server Backup & Restore: 6.0.2423.0
Windows Home Server Drive Extender: 6.0.2423.0
Windows Home Server Remote Access: 6.0.3436.0
Windows Home Server Storage Manager: 6.0.3039.0

OS is WHS Power Pack 3
