  • Hi Edwaro2k,

The problem with your Vista does not appear to be Genuine/Non-Genuine issue.  The problem appears to be that you are unable to install the ActiveX control. In addition, the fact that you are unable to go to http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 makes me think there may be an even deeper issue.

Unfortunatly, I am not trained in ActiveX support, so I suggest that you go to http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52029 and create a (no cost) support request for assistance in installing the ActiveX controls.

If you are unable to reach that URL, then you may need to call (800) 936-5800.  That number is to Vista support and I do not know if they support ActiveX issues at no cost, or not.

Sorry I couldn't be more help,
    Darin MS

  • Hello Edwaro2k,

The page that told you that Windows and Office validation ActiveX failed to load would have given you steps to fix the issue, did you follow those directions? What happened when you did.

You are also running a very old version of the Diagnostic Tool, please download and run Genuine Diagnostics tool (The most current version can always be found at at this link
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012.) and paste the report into a response message in this thread.

    Thank you,
    Darin MS

  • Do you see Internet Explorer's Info Bar displayed as shown in this picture?

If so , follow the two steps below to install the Microsoft Genuine Advantage ActiveX controls from Microsoft.

If not , and installation of the ActiveX control does not occur, try installation again .

i jst dont see it i tried installation again n nothing pops out

n i cant go the link u gave me this come up everytime i try either mozilla or ie

The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

The network link was interrupted while negotiating a connection. Please try again.
