Stuck In A Validation Loop RRS feed

  • Question

  • I just put a new hard drive into an eMachines, I'm using IE8.  I reloaded the software: XP Prof. I'm having trouble re-validating XP. The ActiveX info bar doesn't show up on the top of the page.  It shows as Genuine, but when I try to validate to be able to use Microsoft update. I seem to get stuck in a "validation loop". Here's what I get when I try to validate:

    [ Support ID: 0x8DDD100F ]

To get updates, you must first validate your Windows software. Validation assures that you are using an authentic a
and fully licensed copy of Windows.

I choose "yes" then press "continue" then I receive this message:

The validation process cannot continue because your web browser is not configured to run the components required by the genuine validation process. The following will help you fix this problem and continue with validation.

AT the bottom of the page I hit "Validate Now" and here is the message that I receive:

Validation Complete! Thank you for completing the validation process and for using genuine Microsoft software.
By using genuine Microsoft software, you can be confident that you will have access to the latest features, security, and support, which will help to improve your productivity and expand the capabilities of your computer.
You will also have access to new innovations and offerings available only to genuine Microsoft software customers.

When I go back to the Microsoft update page I get the "Validate my software" message again.  I'll go through the same validation process again and again, but still can't use the Microsoft update page.

Thank you very much for your help,

    Frank

  • Morning Bagleoni,

Thank you for visiting the Windows Genuine Advantage (WGA) program forum. I understand the inconvenience you are currently experiencing. We have seen numerous issues from customers who were provided a Volume License Key (VLK) on their computer that has either been blocked by Microsoft or generated by a fake product key code generator. WGA currently provides checks for these types of product keys and prompts the user to notify them of this situation. More invalid product keys are being identified daily and WGA is constantly refreshing its database with these newly identified product keys and immediately blocks them. Using your favorite search engine please look up 2WFBW-Y42XW-9WDKY. Here you can find many hits for this product key. This product key is a VLK.

As a rule, VL editions should not be sold to individual consumers. Businesses, schools and governments normally use VL editions for flexibility in installing many computers.  Also, Volume Licenses for Windows XP is Upgrade licenses ONLY and cannot be used as the original or base license for a new computer.  Bagleoni if the computer is part of a corporate domain please ask your systems administrator to logon to the eOpen site (https://eopen.microsoft.com/EN/default.asp) and confirm what your company’s assigned VLK. If this computer is not a corporate system please uninstall Windows XP.

Also I have more bad news. Your Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 was installed with a now blocked VLK. Below is an extract I have taken to share with you.

    OGA Data-->
Office Status: 114 Blocked VLK 2
Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 - 114 Blocked VLK 2
    Microsoft Office FrontPage 2003 - 100 Genuine
Microsoft Office Project Professional 2003 - 100 Genuine
    OGA Version: Registered, 1.7.111.0
    Signed By: Microsoft
    Office Diagnostics: 025D1FF3-230-1

Please uninstall Office Professional Edition 2003. You have a couple options available. First you should have been given the option to "Get Genuine" when you failed Windows XP and OGA validation. Here you may purchase a Windows XP and OGA Kit from Microsoft and become genuine. Next you can take the software back where you made the original purchase and either request a genuine copy of Office or return your monies. Next I would recommend for you to file a piracy report by following the directions @ http://www.microsoft.com/piracy. Please locate "Reporting Piracy" in the upper left corner.

    Thank you,

    Stephen

  • I had the same problem. I was validating when I clicked cancel because I neede to reset my computer for installing actualizations. Then my software was classified as ilegal but it isn't because I bought it with the computer years ago and I have validated successfuly lots of times.

    Thank you.
