Customization of LCDS look

  I have developed a proof-of-concept course for my organization's training objectives. I am very excited about LCDS and the ease of use to put a course together.
  
  During my review stage, I received some feedback to remove the "My Notes" area so that more content could be displayed. I mentioned to the reviewer that the browser size could be expanded or the screen resolution could be increased to allow for more viewable content. However, the reviewer still wanted that item removed.
  
  Is there a way to customize the lower navigation size? Can the "My Notes" item not be displayed?
