Outlook 2010 Config Problems

    Question

  • I was setting up Outlook on a new laptop and it crashed.  Now I can't get to the configuration wi=zzard!

After opening Outlook now, it says it is loading profiles, then a pop up appears saying:

The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable.  Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action.  OK

Selecting OK gets a new window with the Server name and Mailbox name.

Check name returns a pop up:

Name cannot be resolved.  The connection to the Microsoft Exchange Server is unavailable.  Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action.

Selecting OK returns a pop up:

Cannot open default email folders.  The file xxx\username.ost is not an Outlook data file (.ost)

There are no other options or ways of accessing the configuration to correct the settings.  How can I get bvack to the Setr Up Wizzard?

  • I am having the same issue.  I even reinstalled MSO with not luck.   How do you get past that screen?
