Access CRM information from sent email RRS feed

  • Hello,

     

    I searched the forum for the following function but I couldn´t find a hint, so...:

    When an email is sent it would be very helpful to have some links to CRM entities in the mail.

     

    Here an example of what I am looking for:

     

    subject: New case "xxx" for customer yyy

    a new case has been created for customer xxx

    <click here> to show details of the case xxx   

    <click here> to show details of the customer yyy

  • Hi all,

     

    when a case (incident) is closed we send an email to the involved persons. That´s easy ;-)

     

    But: in the email body we want to show information from the incidentresolution activity, e.g. owner, description and so on

    Unfortunately the incidentresolution information are not show as related entity in the "create new mail"-form.

     

    Can anyone help?

  • You'll need code to do this. Either a workflow assembly or callout (CRM 3.0) or a custom workflow actvitity or plug-in (CRM 4.0)

  • Define template with global and use that in workflow to sent email.
