newbie question: graphics improvement RRS feed

  • Question

  • can I hire a graphics person to improve the look and feel of my simple program?

I can create the tables and forms but I know it look amateur.

possible to have a graphics person make it look "cooler" but keep the same functionality?

  • The simple answer to your question is, yes, you can find somebody who will improve your GUI design for a fee.

The other question is: does it make sense to pay a consultant (not cheap) to do something you may well be able to do yourself? Do you anticipate commercial success from your software that will make a consulting fee a cost effective investment?

Before spending money to "improve the look and feel of my simple program", I suggest you describe the purpose of your software and share some screen shots of your GUI, then ask for comments and suggestions.

You may be pleasantly surprised by the feedback you get.
