Send mail attachments in CRM RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am new on my helpdesk and have a call from a user to attach documents and send them out through CRM.
I am very new to CRM with a very basic understanding.
Is this possible, My manager has said no, other forums say it can be done using workflow but I do not want the user to have access to the server.
She is using CRM through the Web interface.

    Any thoughts?

    Regards

If you mean sending out attachments as part of a single e-mail then this is perfectly possible.

If you are using the web interface, create the e-mail activity and then save it before sending. Then you will have a tab where you can add attachments.

  • Ok.

You want to automatically attach a file when you receive a call and send it to the user via email right?
to answer your first question, yes you can do this via workflows if you call a custom dll as a workflow step (supported by microsoft).

Secondly, what do you mean by you don't want the user to access have access to the server?

I think he means that he doesn't want to give the user access to Workflow Manager on the server in order to create workflow rules.
